The peculiar thing about time is, that if we talk a lot about “not having enough” time, or “feeling harried,” we can actually manifest more of the same: a frazzled lifestyle that seems too short on free time.

Instead of focusing on lack of free time, we can focus on the free time we do have — to observe it — either when it occurs on its own, or when we schedule it into our day.

Amen on the “conceptualizing” in the 2nd vid. Collapsing people into labels and other oversimplifications irks me to no end. It’s a lot easier to mistreat a concept than a person. The craziest, to me, is when the labels are self-imposed. There is a tendency toward over-compartmentalization (musical genres are one of my go-to examples) which is very limiting. Like you say, it affects the way we relate to one-another. In this case, the more effective option is also more authentic.

This is one of the first videos I made for my blog, years ago — but you know what? I think I said it perfectly on that first take: the busier we get, the more our relationships suffer. The more organized we become, the more our relationships benefit.
